Our Vision and Mission

We know how important your child is and aim to deliver the highest quality of care and education to help them to achieve their best. At St Bernard's we fulfil this by;

treating each child as unique;
providing high quality care and education for children aged 2 - 4 years;
designing an environment that is welcoming, safe and stimulating;
working in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;
offering children and their parents a service that promotes equality, values and diversity.

Sessions

OPENING HOURS FROM SEPTEMBER 2024

Nursery will be open to children from 8.45 to 3.15 (am session: 8.45-11.45./pm session: 12.15-3.15).
2-year-olds can attend a morning or afternoon session.
Each session costs £13.50.
3 & 4-year-olds pay for the lunch session at £1 per day – children in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium will be exempt from paying this.

Funding

We offer funded places for children 2 and over with both 15 & 30 hours entitlement.

Please see the table below which shows the deadlines for applying for codes. If your code is not valid on the date below, we cannot apply for funding in that term.

If your child starts part way through a term, we will not be able to apply for funding until the new term starts.

We advise parents to keep up to date with the changes to funding as new legislation is brought out all the time. You can find this at Best start in life -Gov website
