St Bernard's is a vibrant Catholic school in the heart
of Ellesmere Port and within Shrewsbury Diocese and
Cheshire West and Chester council. It was built in
1973 and is based on the Stanney estate, serving the
Parish of St Bernard's and the communities of Stanlow
and Wolveram. Currently we have 190 children on roll from
the age of 4 to 11, set in single age classes.
The school is able to admit a maximum of 30 pupils to
the Reception class in each academic year. The admission
process is administered by Cheshire west and Chester
Admissions Department. Many parents contact the school
for an informal visit to the school, prior to completing
an application form. Completed forms are then sent to
Cheshire West and Cheshire Admissions team in Northwich;
or you can apply on line.
At St Bernard's we have a fantastic committed staff with
a strong passion for creativity. Over the last few years
we have worked hard to develop engaging and exciting
activites to offer a wide range of experiences for all
children. We are passionate about learning and are proud
of the curriculum that we have created. The local area
and world around us is a rich resource and we use it to
form the basis of all of our work. If you would like to
come and see more of what goes on at St Bernard's then
you would be more than welcome; we'd love to see you.
